Answer: B

我当时的想法是as....as结构的第一个as是副词,所以应该修饰动词,所以就在BC之间选了B, leaching<as a method of the extraction of minerals> well established as early as....; 而C的as 结构跟在extraction后面,副词不能修饰名词的啊!!!

请CDer,N或非N帮帮忙!!

发现B里面的well established可能修饰前面的minerals,但是上面的疑问还是没有消除

B，句子不完整；（且well established还有修饰minerals的歧义）；
D，as early as the eighteenth century做状语，修饰整个句子the recovery of copper from the drainage water of mines was a well-established method of mineral extraction.

ps：修饰动词，形容词，副词以及全句的句子成分，是状语。
用作状语的通常是副词，介词短语，不定式和从句等。状语一般放在被修饰的词之后或放在句尾。
