另外，用majoring in。。。和who major 比较有什么差别？ 我知道从句修饰一次性，分次修饰重复性，可是在这里是因为这个原因吗？论简洁的话还是分词优于从句吧？

这我的一点理解:
分词强调伴随性、规律性、重复性，从句强调状态、结果、静态。 分词作定语表示长期，持续，一贯的动作；而定从则表示一个具体的，一次性的动作。 分词的完成式（having bought ）绝对不能修饰名词 在OG 96题中有对分词和从句的一点讲解. D) to assure closing the doors properly E) to assure that the doors are properly closed D offers the necessary infinitive, but the gerund phrase closing... imprecisely refers to the act of closing the doors rather than to the condition of the closed doors. Choice E, with its idiomatic and precise noun clause, is the best answer
