没生育过的母老鼠和幼鼠放在一起7天就会表现出母性的行为，如果把母鼠的嗅觉破坏或是把幼鼠散发气味的腺体摘除则上述时间就会缩短，因此说明母鼠母性行为的表现受到了幼鼠气味的抑制
