L里面有E写的现存的所有18部悲剧，有10部是属于精选辑部分并且是有注解的同时也见于L以外其他手稿，Medea属于这一类。另外8部放在按字母排序那部分里（就像电影演职员表主演放在最前面其他人名就是按出场顺序）并且没有注解，Electra属于这部分。

因此Electra只存于L里并且没有注解

还是有问题.原文里没有说E可能存在L以外的文本里啊? 而且有可能在其他收集的地方就有注解了.

我也开始选不出来，觉得全都推不不出来，现在明白了，的确是E

This group includes some of E’s best-known works,所以，不著名的也有收录的

B. The select plays are accompanied by ancient commentaries because they were the best known of Euripides’ works.

没有必然联系

C. No commentaries were written about Euripides’ Electra in ancient times.

最后选这个了，还是错的，现在想想，主要是extant是现存的意思。C选项说有没有写，无关。因为有可能写了在历史长河中遗失了

D. Euripides’ Medea never appears in medieval manuscripts unaccompanied by ancient commentary.

显然不对，this group includes….,including the M. 之前又说了这十个都是有评论的

E. Euripides’ Electra does not appear accompanied by a commentary in any extant medieval manuscript.

开始认为这个选项错在这个句子的中心看错了，当时认为这一部是属于18部之一的，not ..in any extant medieval manuscript肯定不对。

但是，这句话说的是E does not appear accompanied by a commentary in..

也就是说在现存的中世纪手抄搞中，E不会以
有评论的形式出现。前面已经说了八部不含评论，其中e就在其中。

本题关键还是读懂选项

E讲Electra在任何现存中世纪手稿里都没有评论是不是太绝对了，不能推出的吧~

仔细看了一下，发现除了B之外，其他几个选项都有绝对的信息，所以我很无奈选了B~

搞不懂呀~

注意D选项中是never...uncompanied应该也有可能一部分遗失的涵义～

这题可以这样想：

我们来想想这个L是怎么编出来的。L是个大全，收录了现存的剧作家E的18部作品。如果你是这个大全的总编，你会怎么收录呢？你肯定是到处翻资料去找，把所有能翻到的资料放在一起，归纳整理剔除掉重复的，结果发现共有18个作品，其中10个有注解（可能每个还有一个版本以上的注解，就像红楼梦有脂砚斋注版，也有王希廉评注版），另外8个在任何资料里都没有注解只有原文，然后你把有注解的编在一起并附上注解，叫select play，没注解的8个按字母顺序排，就编出了一个大全。

这样E就很明显。

但是这个解释自我发挥的也太多了。仅供参考

题目只提到了10部有commentary的还出现在其他manuscripts里，没有说明8部有没有在其他manuscripts里出现过，我们就不能武断的论定。
但是，在题目中有明确说明：前10部areaccompanied in L，而后8部without commentary.
请大家注意状语修饰“in L”. 说明前10部在L中有commentary，但是在其他manuscripts中，有没有？不知道，所以排除D。后8部“without commentary.”没有状语修饰，表明在所有范围内，都没有commentary.即使在其他版本的manuscripts中出现过，也没有commentary.

我觉得你的这个推论有点太复杂了，既然前面说前10本在L中并且有commentary,后面紧接着说后8本以字母顺序、无评论的形势出现，肯定是指在L这个范围中了！如果偏偏认为后8本说得是所有manuscript里面都是这种情况，未免太违和、太突兀了吧！
对于去非的那个，我是赞同的。不过这个实在隐蔽，而且还有作者的主观意图在其中，考试时怎么可能选的出来！

google了一下这题，觉得比较信服于以下的解释，大家参考参考。

We know that:

the "select plays" in 'L' are accompanied by commentaries
the "select plays" are ALSO found in other manuscripts.
the "select plays" contain SOME of Euripides' best known plays.
Medea is a "select play."

Now for the "other eight," which are in contrast to the "select plays."

We know the "other eight" do not include commentary.
We know the "other eight" appear in alphabetical order. (Suggesting that the "select plays" are not in alphabetical order).
Electra is an "alphabetical." -------> Electra does not include commentary

Now there is one little step. Notice how the "select plays" differ from "the alphabeticals" in that they are ALSO found in other medieval manuscripts. Therefore the "other eight" are not found in medieval manuscripts ------> Electra does not appear in other ancient manuscripts. The only manuscript it does appear in it is not accompanied by commentary. Thus (E).

感觉这个题在短时间内做出，就是找一些典型特点的关键词。
1 A medieval manuscript 有很多类，但是文中重点讨论的 extant medieval manuscript 总共只有18本。
2 其中10本 select play，都有 commentary，同时在其他非extant medieval manuscript 出现过。
3 10本里有些best known，其中之一是M
4 另外8本都是没commentary，alphabetical order，其中有E。
A 只有 best known是有commentary，错。看2，应该是10本都有评论，其中有best known。把only换成some就可能对了。
B 文中只说10本sp的有评论，没提原因。
C 在古代，关于E作品没有评论介绍。联系1，4，文章只说在extant medieval manuscript 范围内的8本（E属于8本之一）是无commentary的，那古代非extant medieval manuscript的里面可能有commentary。
D M从来没有出现在那些没commentary的medieval manuscripts里。注意这个选项没说是extant的。但是文中的范围是在extant里面，M是有commentary，也就是没出现在无commentary那类里。
E 完全正确，首先限定在18本extant medieval manuscript里，E作品是无commentary的，也就是没有出现在有commentary那类里。

我认为构成M（或者说select play）的条件有两个：一个是有评论；一个是在其他手稿中出现过。文中是and连接。所以不能说其他8部一定没在其他手稿中出现过，有可能出现过但是没有评论，所以没有被归在select play中

看完大家的解释后我豁然开朗了
其实就是对应特征取非
L中的作品分为两类，一类是 select plays 1 有评论 2 在其他手稿中出现过 3 包括Medea，另一类是 1 无评论 2（结论就是填上这个空） 3 其中有 Electra 。这样两类play 的特征在文中平行相对的出现，对比一下第二类没有说出 2 的这个特征，根据特征1 是取非的，我们就能得出结论2 也是取非。即 2 在其他手稿中没有出现过。所以 E is definitely right
