large和integrated应该是两个连续的adj修饰companies,这里such as Bethlehem Steel是插入语，that其实是紧跟在companies后面对它进行修饰的，而不是GMAT通常所说的，逗号后面要用which

句子意思是：过去二十年间，钢铁产业变化非常大。这是由于一些在产业链上横跨开采到运输两端的大公司都大大缩减了规模甚至面临倒闭，如Bethlehem Steel

as作為連詞連接兩個獨立句子，後面的主詞是large, integrated companies

such as ...是插入句，用來說明哪些companies

最重要的是動詞是have greatly downsized or shut down

因為在as後面還有conducted這個動詞，唯一的辦法就是把他變成修飾Bethlehem Steel避免句子結構錯誤

,所以在這要補個that.

我觉得做这道题不太需要考虑这个问题吧……所有的选项都是large, integrated，我觉得加and应该也没有错，只是这跟解这道题无关吧……

求教: 为什么B中的with 或C中的while不行呢?

是因为with是介词不能引导句子和while表对比而这里没有这个意思所以不恰当吗?

这不是引导的原因状语从句吧。。。选项不是B吗，那就是that修饰的是companies啊，要是从句的话句子成分不完整啊，这里as是当介词，作为的意思吧
