个人觉得D的问题有很多：
1。because of后面只能接名词性结构，being poached 不能看成是名词结构吧；而且poached用被动意义上感觉也不妥（这里强调的是poach这个动作本身带来的结果，而不是强调被poached这个行为）；
2。thus是adv,不能代替conj连接句子；
3。making没有使动者，谁在make?
C也不对。WHICH 不能指代前面的全部
