答案是E，我觉得E的说法找不到问题。我的问题是B为什么不对 ？能否理解为often green and striped, or with plenty of bumps and bruises, although more flavorfu l全部做独立主格结构的补语 ？

B中although是连词，前后都要是完整的句子，不能引导独立主格

原句只是單純表達,所以B是扭曲原意

動詞的have比with好, with plenty of...修飾前方還是修飾後方,不清楚

A, B, C:錯因為"often green and striped"不合邏輯的修了"their round and red supermarket cousins", 都巳經說了是red...
D錯因為although從句的主句是"they are often green and striped", 兩個句子沒有"雖然...但是..."的關係, 再加上一個明顯的錯誤 - "or with", with沒有並列的對象.  沒有or, D是okay..

我认为“虽然-但是”的关系是有的，从每个选项最后面的转折连词可以得出。这里的 ：号表示阐述，前一句提到Heirloom tomatoes看起来不如另一个有食欲，后一句提到虽然它看起来没食欲可是很好吃，进一步阐述前一句的观点。

个人观点  50%支持X大虾

ABC错  因为often green and striped 在逗号后面，错误修饰了cousins 其修饰对象应该是句子主语 H tomatoes  排除

C和D

我觉得选择的关键是因为only这个词，构成only（否定）...but...

貌似大家都认为分号前后各为一个部分

但小女分析应该是说 这个西红柿即使看上去没有cousins的有食欲，又这样又那样，但却很美味

句子最终强调的重点是flavorful 前面一大堆全部是说反面，最后but事实是很好吃

There are essentially two sentences in this structure. The first part, Heirloom
tomatoes, grown from seeds saved from the previous year, only look less
appetizing than their round and red supermarket cousins. The second part describes the look of Heirloom tomatoes and contains the meaning that although it looks less appetizing, it has better flavor.
the semi-colon separates two complete sentences while a comma can't do the same thing. Choice D, although has to be followed by a verb and you don't c one there. therefore, E is the only possible choice

同问。。。记得prep笔记里经常提到这个问题，而且觉得E最后的they可以就近指代bumps and bruises，prep里面也有。。。

这题没悬念，一开始选a，现在看选E

often 。。这个不能和or have 并列，当成独立的形容词短语有点讲不通，用they 然后 or连接就比较通顺啦，

我觉得因为or have plenty of bumps and bruises这一句在意思上应该是与green and striped并列，都属于less appetising，而如果像ABC的选项那样写，or 一句就成了跟less appetising并列了。

首先，look less appetizing 这是一个结论，often green and striped, or have plenty of bumps and bruises这全部是补充说明得出这个结论的理由或者说原因。
A B C从结构上看，是把结论与原因并列了，这是不合逻辑的。

比如我可以说：我特别喜欢范冰冰，因为她漂亮，同时很大气。这是类似E的表达

A B C里的表达是：我特别喜欢范冰冰，喜欢她漂亮，喜欢她的大气。 这种表达在中文里太常见了，但可惜在GMAT里就是逻辑混乱

其次，B C D 中用although，这是不合乎逻辑的，这里应该需要一个转折而非让步
