How far is it from the house to polytechnic university Brooklyn or Manhattan respectively?

40minutes to 42nd st, Grand central, or Time square. If you need to go down town manhatton, like wall st, you need to transfer red or green line which takes another 20 minutes or so. Polytech is in Brooklyn, I don't know the actual time takes you there.
