22. Unlike most warbler species, the male and female blue-winged warbler are very difficult to tell apart.
(A) Unlike most warbler species, the male and female blue-winged warbler are very difficult to tell apart.
(B) Unlike most warbler species, the gender of the blue-winged warbler is very difficult to distinguish.
(C) Unlike those in most warbler species, the male and female blue-winged warblers are very difficult to distinguish.
(D) It is very difficult, unlike in most warbler species, to tell the male and female blue-winged warbler apart.
(E) Blue-winged warblers are unlike most species of warbler in that it is very difficult to tell the male and female apart.

the key lies in the expression: it's difficult for sb to do sth not :sb is difficult to do sth
"those" tends to be unclear if placed in the first clause.

(C)Unlike those in most warbler species, the male and female blue-winged warblers are very difficult to distinguish.
I think this sentence is distortion. It seems to show:
Unlike A+B in most C, A+B are very difficult to distinguish.
But (A) seems like to compare A with B.

如果 c 中 to distinguish, 改为 to be distinguished 的话,
c 对么?

如: Unlike other buildings, the trade center is difficult to build.

234. The physical structure of the human eye enables it to sense light of wavelengths up to 0.0005 millimeters; infrared radiation, however, is invisible because its wavelength—0.1 millimeters—is too long to be registered by the eye.
(A) infrared radiation, however, is invisible because its wavelength—0.1 millimeters—is too long to be registered by the eye
its wavelength is ... to be registered by the eye...
而 its wavelength is ... for the eye to register 也可以.
Unlike those in most warbler species 上,
Unlike those in most warbler species 与
the male and female blue-winged warblers Unlike most warbler species

I think the word "distinguish" has 2 usages:
1. distinguish A from B
2. distinguish between A and B.
Neither of above can be applied in C. I will say, like the despicableETS, it is unidiomatic.

Unlike those in most warbler species 与the male and female blue-winged warblers 不平行,如果改为Unlike most warbler species
