D是没有这么说的么，必须用一个定于从句完成这个比较么

B错在at any time。 their可以指代manufacturers，也可以指代small cars。
D有歧义，是more cars 还是 more fuel-efficient ?

我觉得还是a 最简洁，now 对应 at any time in their production history，

"time as a unit" is not the point, (A) is seriously flawed because
"more fuel-efficient" modify cars or the manufacturer's ability to make cars ?

但是

"more fuel-efficient"是形容词词组，动词＋名词＋形容词也很清晰呀，肯定是修饰名词啦

这样理解对嘛？

eg。make it better than before

make our life more beautiful

make me happy

又考虑了一下，make 一般接双宾语，make A1 A2

而 make A that... 不妥啊？!

我也觉得A对，make sth + adj，怎么看都顺眼

而C中的make small cars that是什么意思，that修饰cars?那make + n是个什么结构？

关键是A漏了一个those,毕竟是与以前的车比嘛！！
