请教sleeping....and moving...做什么成份？为什么可以这么用？谢谢

现在分词做状语。GMAT里很多这样的题。且举2例:
As the price of gasoline rises, making alcohol distilled from cereal grain an attractive substitute, the price of bread and livestock feed are sure to increase.
The root systems of most flowering perennials either become too crowded, resulting in losss of vigor, or spread too far outward, producing a bare center.

谢谢回复，但是你所举的两个例子，都是前面一句话对后面的影响，用做分词。sleeping....moving 都是修饰主语的，好像有些不同。
我还是有些糊涂，请赐教。

在句末（用逗号隔开），修饰整个句子（伴随动作或伴随结果）

伴随动作要求逻辑主语等于句子主语

伴随结果要求与主句有因果关系

C当然不行啰你想想,C的答案是

这里是hang~, sleep~ and move~三者并列并同时接use…limb to~，语意上就不通了

怎么可能使用有弹性的臂来挂在树上又使用有弹性的臂来睡觉….

留意C中的结构:use…to hang,sleep and move,为何ETS认为这个句型hang/sleep/move平行?sleep/move前面没有to,是否可以认为use/sleep/move平行?

所以不明白C为何不对?(不考虑sloths的单复数问题)

我觉得除非有and连接它们，才可能对。

後面兩個省掉 to
也就是前人所說的句意怪

如果就考题看，这种V to V，後面还要平衡的话，会补出to，识别跟哪个动词平衡。

但是有时候不定词 to V 平衡三个时，会有时候为了简洁将to省掉，

单纯就回到这一题，hang from, sleep, move都是身体的动作。
动物利用身体use to 吸引异性写法OK
但是描述自己身体的一个动作用use ..to...写法，我不敢肯定。

to hang,只当作修饰use的一个不定式
