C选项把原文的倒装句式改成了正常语序，其次，从就近修饰的原则来看，后文的as seen可以就近修饰sunspot cycle，这样会造成歧义，而E选项就不会产生这样的问题，E选型的最后是grow，as seen是不能够修饰的，所以选E。欢迎讨论，加油！
