我觉得d和b之间的差异主要有两个： (b) in which great ice sheets existed in what are now temperate areas (d) when great ice sheets had existed in current temperate area （1）时态上的差别 （2）in what are now temperate areas和in current temperate area的差别。 我觉得d主要错在sheets had existed in current temperate area，current修饰temperate area，sheets怎么能存在于current temperate area呢？ 而b中what are now temperate areas=the places that are now temperate areas。
