标题: 讨论一个SC题目（大全66）－－我觉得答案错了

After the Arab conquest of Egypt in A.D. 640, Arabic became the dominant language of the Egyptians, replacing older languages and writing systems.

(A) became the dominant language of the Egyptians, replacing older languages

(B) became the dominant language of the Egyptians, replacing languages that were older

(D) becomes the dominant language of the Egyptians and it replaced languages that were older（A）

(E) becomes the dominant language of the Egyptians, having replaced languages that were older

答案说选A，因为主句应该用一般过去时，这个派出C D E

但是我认为应该选B，理由如下：A虽然比B简单，B的表达方式是标准的错误。但是在这种情况下，如果是A的话，容易产生歧义：

(1) replace 的是 older languages 和 writing systems

(2)replace的是 older languages systems 和writting systems

B虽然很wordy但是定语从句把中心词很明显的区分开来了。

不知道我这样子思考大家同不同意。

lz, A 是不是打错了，不然和原句不是一样的吗？

顺便问一句，after 是不是只能做介词？在gmat中。

B is wordy 。而且and 前后要注意平行结构，B就没有平行而言了。
