标题: 如果这都不叫美文

As known to all, there are two basic ways to gain knowledge, and one is to learn from books, while the other is to obtain lore from experience. But which one is more critical? From my perspective, the former is more remarkable, in comparison with the latter, for several reasons.

First, reading books is more efficient. As our life span is not so long that we, human beings, cannot put everything into practice and experience anything all by ourselves. Therefore, the source to gain knowledge from experience is less profound. However, books embraced enomorous thoughts and intelligence of our ancestors or current scientists and artists. Thus what we need to do is merely open their books and assimilate knowledge from them without that much painstaking effort to practice. For instance, majority conclusion of physics and chemistry, which have taken scientists thousands of hours to draw, now appear explicitly in our textbooks and we do not have to consume the precise time to reprove them laboriously.

Second, reading books is more economical to gain knowledge. Doing researches, especially performing experiments, cost a large amount of money and labor. As for archeology, experts had carried expensive equipments to the relics only to find out a few clues about ancient time, which were barely mentioned in one or two lines in books or newspapers. While what we need to do is to buy books or newspapers, with little money in contrast with the researches cost, and just remember the results they have concluded rather than to experience these expeditions.

Third, knowledge gained from books is more comprehensive. As it is a rule that human understand things from the easy to the difficult step by step, book often play the role that offer the systematic approaches to teach people according to the rule above. While accepting knowledge from experience seems drastically distinguished, because majority we attain by this are accidental and haphazard, on the other hand, it violate the rule.

We cannot arbitrarily say that knowledge obtained from books is definitely superior to those gained from experience, but the former certainly has some fateful advantages. So, in conclusion, lore gained from books is more important.
