1.选E，而不是A， A选项是When开头，一般情况下错，在本句中，不是当牙齿松动的时候，备用的牙齿才lie in...,而是本身备用的牙齿就一直是这样lie in...的，明显从逻辑上讲不通。再一点，each of which are ，这里的are和 each of...主谓不一致。

D选项中的Each of which, which 指代的是teeth,还是jaws呢? 指代不清吧。而且最大的错误是整个句子根本就没有谓语。The many spare teeth（主语） lying（分词短语修饰主语） in seemingly limitless reserve in the shark’s jaws, （each one of which is ready to slide into the appropriate position whenever an active tooth is lost or worn down.这里是个同位语从句，修饰谁不明确）

2.C中一个比较明显的错误是省略了情态动词Can，这样就改变了句子的意思。而A中无明显错误。
