这道题我选的是d，答案是e。我认为d选项前后很对称工整，没有问题，倒是e接的不舒服。请牛牛指教！

我觉得while the failure rate of mainstream American business is 。。。这样才工整和后半句对应吧~

而且用了while 就暗示说不用再去考虑主语的比较对称性问题了~，所以用了主动语态不是更优吗~？呵呵~个人看法~

Ｄ的意思是the rate （is） failing, 不知道rate 怎么fail

D除了楼上说的逻辑错之外，还有effectiveness的错
fail的名词形式是failure 轮不到failing
