标题: [原创]申请MBA一定要是在职人员吗？

非常不幸的，小弟在准备MBA期间所在公司倒闭，请问这会不会对申请MBA造成任何影响？

另外，本人工作8年的大龄青年，对商学院是不是老了点？

1. Depends on companies. If it was Bears & Stearn or other Fortune 500 companies, then you will be fine. If it was a small/no name company, it will be difficult for you to prove materials in your application and hard for b-school to verify your materials.

2. If you are from non-tradtional background, it will raise question why you want an MBA. You have worked for 8 years and done nothing, but started to apply MBA when you lost your current job.

3. So find another fulltime job first because it takes time for you to prepare GMAT and write essays.

我工作的前两家公司是500强公司，最近这家公司规模较小（所以抗不住行业风险，最近倒闭了），不过这家是国际知名大公司战略投资的（公司倒闭之际说这个显得很讽刺）。因为第一次申请学校，不知需要提供什么样的公司证明材料？而且我之前公司的上司也多半离职了，现在找他们作推荐人或者证明人是否可行？

本人出身通信业，也一直在这个行业，所作工作从R&D到Marketing,Sales，获取一个商学方面的学位一直是我的向往，只是很不凑巧的，在我备考MBA期间，公司倒闭了。

2. 本人出身通信业，也一直在这个行业，所作工作从R&D到Marketing,Sales，获取一个商学方面的学位一直是我的向往，need evidences such as job functions/recommendation letters to proof that. If you can show reasons (in your essays) behind from R&D=>marekting sales => more important job function in start-up firm (although it failed), you will be fine.

问题一个比一个尖锐。我倒是建议你淡化乃至不提公司倒闭
