correct answer is D

B,C,E很好排除。我在A和D中徘徊。A错是不是应该改为 exhibit, thereby activating........ which前有逗号，说明整个which定语从句是修饰前面的句子，而不是exhibit. 那为什么错呢？

D用的结构是:

encourages visitors to “touch” each exhibit and thereby activate, 划线部分是用and连接的平行结构

而A的错误是which就近指代exhibit, 所以activate 应该用复数,而非A/E的单数形式, 但即使如此, 我认为此处仍然不能用which形式. 因为这里activate 是touch的后一个动作, 两个动作一前一后用and连接. 而如果用which,则 activate成了exhibit的谓语, 明显逻辑关系不当.

A is nonsense because it is not the exhibit but the touch that activates those functions.

B. exhibit, in turn an activation of

B is excluded for the same reason as is A.

C. exhibit, and it will activate

If "it" refers to the exhibit, then it will be excluded for same reason as I showed above.

D. exhibit and thereby activate

E. exhibit which, as a result, activates

E is excluded for the same reason as the first three options are.
