proponents......修饰主体不一致；

C:......with it
skimming along the top of the atmosphere 不符合GMAT一贯用法；

D:......say its proponents......;because of its
skimming...... 不符合GMAT一贯用法，尤其是because of......

E:整个句子结构不符合规范用法
