My personal view: If you wanna work in US, darden is a better choice...If wanna go back China, Cornell is better.

you'd better find out what you exactly want to post MBA, If it is a finance career, Cornell provides more opportunities; Darden provides more jobs into general management and consulting although 40% of students get a finance job.

其实我的意思是，男生不妨多历练历练自己，CASE STUDY虽然辛苦，但对于思维和口才都是很好的锻炼,就算不说对职业发展的帮助,追女孩子的时候能甜言蜜语也哄得佳人芳心也可舌战群儒吓退竞争对手,简直是大大地有用：）
cornell比较人文关怀,女孩子在ITHACA一边学管理一边陶冶情操，比如品酒啊艺术品鉴赏啊，拿个IVY的DEGREE不是很好嘛

Two schools are really close in terms of ranking and many aspects. and you won't be wrong by entering either.

So its really a choice of:

learning method (case vs. less case), location(2 hours to DC vs. 4 hours to any major city), intensitity(very intense vs. medium intense), brand(IVEY League vs. public university), weather(cold vs. warmer)

I would encourage you to talk to current students and Alumni, and understand the difference from their perspective.

my general impression: Wharton, Darden, MIT, Chicago, HBS are pretty intense

Kellogg, Stanford, Duke, Austin are lighter

no offens, just my general impression, anyone may correct me if I am wrong.

First, let your wife decides where she will go.

Just my 2cents.
There is no difference between Cornell & Darden. Your wife will
feel stressful because of Darden's courses or Cornell's long
winter & loneliness. However, "因为离darden比较近，开车2个小时即到". You can always be there when she need you. You can visit her every weekend and cook for her. So both of you will be more relax if she went to Darden.

In my opinion, Darden is better in many ways. But having
read so many posts on CD, I found too many Chinese applicants whose eyes see
nothing but a school’s branding. For example, someone would choose Yale over Kellogg
and another applicant would consider reapplying just because the school name (a
top 10) doesn't sound too awesome in China.

I have a lot of respect to your decision in choosing a school based on your fit
and career prospect, instead of blindly going for an "Ivy League"
title. XD
