答案选E，没有问题。但是我在复习的时候，还是不能确认induce到底是和affect并列，还是跟heat并列。请教各位：）谢啦。

供参考：
如果与heat并列，则需要在and前加一个comma.原因如下:
from: The American Heritage Guide to Contemporary Usage and Style
compound predicates
The parts of a compound predicate are not normally separated by a comma except to prevent misreading.

The element was discovered in 1862 and was later used in explosives.
We worked hard on the project but could not finish in time.
I called the loan officer who left me the message, and asked for more information

谢谢楼上的分析。个人感觉像集合，大集合前要用COMMON标出表示，小集合直接加连词就好了。

如果是 and to induce会不会明显一些？
