Olin with half-tuition scholarship, still need RMB 200,000 per year
Notre Dame with 35,000 USD, need RMB 100,000 per year.
I plan to focus on Finance or Marketing for MBA and work in U.S. or Canada after graduation.
Thank you for your advice!
Vote for Olin. I believe it is better for career in finance.
Notre Dame.
Olin's location sucks and the security there is very bad.
olin跟复旦有合作项目,复旦MBA要到OLIN去一段时间,所以如果毕业后回国,校友网络可能会好一些。但是,去olin必须贷款,压力大。另外,不知道贷款对于签证是否有不利啊??
Location, not a problem. Security? why bother.
If you don't know much, please don't mislead other people.
I have been staying in STL for over two years.
Well, these two schools are equally reputable in U.S., prob Notre Dame a bit more due to Fighting Irish's football reputation. Both are great private schools, so prob equally strong alumni networks. However, I have to say Olin has better location, many big companies headquarter there, like Emerson, Budweiser, and etc. Also its an important hub for American airlines. South Bend on the other hand is a very small college town, no industry or whatsoever. You will have to venture out to look for internship and job opportunities. Hope this helps.

Thank you very much for your insights. Financially, I prefer Notre Dame. Otherwise, I prefer Olin. And finance is such an important consideration that makes this decision so hard. Right, people say that you needn't to worry about loan once you got a job after graduation. But, I'd like to see MBA as an investment, and I am a cautious investor, don't like too much risk, don't like to take too much money from tomorrow's income.
Dears,
I can not understand your calculation.
since you got half-tution scholarship from Olin.
Your total cost should be less than USD 40000 /per year
So the gap between these two school should be much smaller.
Olin's program is more for advanced managers that the program is more sophisticated and extensive
http://www.olin.wustl.edu/MBA/Academics/index.cfm?sid=48&tid=59
Notre Dame is more for entry-level that the curriculum and concentrations are quite fundamental and have major improvement opportunity
http://www.nd.edu/~mba/academics/twoYear/concentrationTracks.shtml
you can see Notre Dame's program is not that complete
even the most demostrative marketing is short of some key elements
such as the most critical core in marketing are missing: market research and consumer behavior, CRM, Channel Management, ricing, and marketing communication.
while you can see Olin is very complete.
Although St. Louis City is not good in terms of security
they have the segregation program that many white St. Louisans live in better-off south St. Louis City or have moved into the better-off suburbs (so-called white flight).

South Bend, Indiana where U of Notre Dame located is not good, either, and is catching up in crime rate
http://safety.fizber.com/Indiana/South-Bend/
just stay in safer area where white people reside, and stay away from the high crime rate area. It's the same rule with any other part of the States.
while St. Louis County is the safest place in the U.S.
