Both of you can try next year. Or late this year!! Good Luck and most important try your best
frankly i am very sad. I wanted to go to Chicago not only because of the school's reputation but also because there's someone I love there. now that i got dinged at Chicago, I also lost the connection between us two =( I took GMAT in late December and spent 2 weeks writing my essays. I guess I deserve that ding... and there's no way i will get promoted to manager this year, so i dont see a huge career progress in the near future that will strength my application for R1 next year.
This is fate, and i am still learning to accept it.
Good luck to everyone else.
What changed in your title matters a lot less than what changed in your levels of involvement and responsibility. It could make a significant difference if you could look for opportunities to contribute, to projects at work and in the community, then really spend some time to put together a thoughtful application. Good luck!

why don't you share more details
and we can try to help you fix it
we can do more than just crying
you have total control of your lifes
failure is just a process, not only a consequence
but it'll become one if you let it

Fully understand your feeling... I used to do that kinda thing as well, loving something becasue someone loves that. But life has taught me a bloody lessson (no exaggeration) that I should follow my own soul....
No one can predict the future. You still have chances next year for GSB or you can try kellogg.
Cmft & Blessings, girl~
