标题: Any Evaluation about Bentley College
Just got an offer from the Ph.D. program in Accounting
in Bentley College. Because Accounting is not my major, thus I am wandering
what is the evaluation about the Ph.D. program in Accounting in Bentley
College. Does anyone have any evaluation about this program? If yes, could you
please tell me some related information, such as its ranking, any famous
professor, and strong fields in Accounting research? Thanks a lot.

one of my friends also got offer from this univ. She said professors there are good enough in their fields.

But I do not know about it, since my major is not accounting.

Very new program. No record to see how good it is. Most people will think Bentley is a teaching institution so I am pretty surprised to see they started a doctoral program..

I guess (simply guess) that it is more likely for their graduates to find positions in teaching colleges.

好象Bentley都不在phd开经济学之类的课程。

Hi all,
Thank you for your reply. I am wandering whether I should keep waiting for my application results from other universities because Bentley College ask me to reply my decision, as soon as possible. My applications in many other universities are still unknown but I really like the studying environment of this school.

Besides, does ProfCPA thinks that Bentley College is a good enough school which could support me to find a teaching position in Hongkong or Singapore? From the ranking report in ASU, Their ranking in finance research is about 80, and I would like to do some researchs about financial fraud and Auditing.

In addition, could Guoguo please tell me whether your friend has decided to accept the offer from Bentley College or not yet? If yes, do you mind giving me his or her email address?

BTW, does anyone know any Accounting Ph.D. ranking report just like the Finance Ph.D. ranking report from ASU? If yes, could you please tell me where I can find it? Thanks a lot.

I personally like this school very much, not only the location, but also the professors there are all very nice and the serval PhD supervisors all have a lot A journal publications, I talked with them a lot before I got the offer. My current supervisor who came from the states also suggested me to accept this offer... so I accepted it at the first time i got it two weeks ago...and now need to reject another offer. Although the program is pretty young, the school recently put great resource on research, we should have confidence on our future.

Anyway, it's your decision, and it's possible that you could also get offers from other better schools, if you want, we may talk with MSN which I sent you in that message.
