标题: Olin的Deadline又推迟了一周,抓紧啊!
根据可靠消息:Washington University的Olin 申请First Round人数下降, it's good opportunity for many applicants who are interested in this school.
证据1:偶在该校的朋友,二年级。
证据2:偶收到一封信,从该信内容可以推测,该校第一轮人数比预料的要少。相信很多人都收到这封信了:
I was just looking at the applications In Progress on Embark's site and
it looks like you're almost to the halfway point of the application.
We're anticipating a high number of applications for our second
deadline in January. If you'd like to receive an earlier decision in January
and can submit your application (online, transcripts and any
recommendations not submitted online) within the next week without feeling rushed,
let me know and I'd be happy to include you in the first deadline
applications which will receive a January (23rd or before) decision. If
you're concerned about getting transcripts/recommendation in, fax/email
unofficial materials are fine for us to start the review process.
Whether you apply now or wait until January (or after) has no bearing
on the decision. The offer to provide you with an earlier decision is
two-fold: a) it will help balance our load to review a few more
applications a little earlier, and b) it offers you the choice to receive an
earlier decision if you'd like.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Gina :-)

I think that people who are still hesitating should make quikc decision to apply to Olin now so that they will be able to catch the deadline of Jan. 9, 2004. It's really a good opportunity.
Washington University was ranked as the 10th best university in U.S.A. by U.S. News & Report. It is traditionally a very prestigious school.
Olin school is an excellent program with a top-notch undergraduate program and a top 20 MBA program.
Number of applicants this year are taking a dip. Many schools reported that they received fewer applications than last year in the first and second rounds. Those who have insider information please share with us as early as possible. It'll be very important for those who were dinged and are eager to find good targets.

do they still provide loan to interational students who can not find cosigners?
I notice this loan option has been removed from their web site.

Thanks for your information. Now I'm applying for Olin. I hope I can get their offer.

祝你好运,录取了之后帮我向jan snow说一声抱歉。偶真的有些过意不去。谢谢。

Subject: Reminder: Next full-time MBA deadline for fall 2004 admission is January 9th
Date: Wed, 7 Jan 2004 14:11:28 -0500
Applications submitted online by Monday, January 12th at 9am Central
Time will be considered received for the January 9th deadline. Those
applying through the Consortium should follow the Consortium's application
deadline for submission to the Consortium.
The mail-in portion of the application (transcripts, any
recommendations not submitted online and application fees not paid online by credit
card) should ideally be received the week following the deadline. If
necessary, please feel free to have your recommenders fax or email offline
recommendations (Fax: 314-935-6309, Email: mba@olin.wustl.edu) as well
as student-issued transcripts. Although these would be considered
unofficial, as long as we have all materials (whether official or
unofficial) the application will be forwarded for admissions review. If offered
admission prior to our receiving all official documents, the admission
would be conditional pending receipt of the official documents prior to
registration in August. If you need a little more time on your essays,
feel free to email them (preferably in a Word document) to us during
the next week as well.

Since our second deadline followed so close after the Holiday Season,
we need a little more time to finish processing the applications we've
received. So we're extending the deadline one week. So if you're in a
panic about getting your application submitted online by this weekend,
take a deep breath. That's right.you have another week to finish up your
application and still get in wave 2. As long as we receive the
non-online materials, whether official or unofficial (see details below), by
the end of the month, you'll still receive your decision no later than
March 19th!
The non-online materials include:
Transcripts and degree information
Recommendations not submitted online
Application fee if not paid by credit card online
To expedite the process:
If you have a student-issued copy of your transcripts, fax them to us
at (314) 935-6309 or you may scan them email them to us at
mba@olin.wustl.edu.
If you'll have non-online recommendations, have your recommenders fax
or email the recommendations to us directly.
Note: Although faxed or emailed transcripts/recommendations are
"unofficial", we'll use them in the interim to start the application review
process and match the mailed in official materials to the rest of the
application upon receipt. If offered admission prior to our receiving the
official items, the admission will be conditional pending receipt of
the official items and must be received before registration in August.
We look forward to receiving your application. Enjoy your weekend!!!
Gina :-)
