(C) Young polio victims learning to live during the 1950s with their disabilities were helped to practice falling as part of their therapy
(D) Young polio victims learning to live with their disabilities were helped to practice falling during the 1950s as part of their therapy
(E) During the 1950s, as part of their therapy, young polio victims learning to live with their disabilities were helped to practice falling
答案是E，昨天rabbitbug说要按照逻辑意思来分析。那么A，B，E选项的as part of their therapy，按照逻辑来看，肯定不能修饰young polio victims，所以只能是做状语，修饰后面的整个句子，对吗？？？就是说：A，B中的错误在于during the 1950s 而不在于as part of their therapy？？是这样吗？？？

   再看一个例子：
144.As well as heat and light, the Sun is the source of a continuous stream of atomic particles known as the solar wind.
(B) Besides heat and light, also the Sun is the source of a continuous stream
(C) Besides heat and light, the Sun is also the source of a continuous streaming
(D) The Sun is the source not only of heat and light, but also of a continuous stream
答案是D，对于B，C而言，句首的介词短语Besides heat and light,按照逻辑意思，肯定不能修饰the Sun，那么只能作状语修饰整个句子了，
（问题1）：  Besides heat and light, 逻辑上能修饰后面的句子吗？？
（问题2）：  如果可以，那么B，C选项只是在also和streaming上有错误了？？？

rabbitbug MM ，昨天说的似乎不是很对，我找了OG看到这个例子：

241. （（As well as heat and light, the Sun is the source of a continuous stream ））of atomic particles known as the solar wind.
(A)As well as heat and light, the Sun is the source of a continuous stream
(B)Besides heat and light, also the Sun is the source of a continuous stream
(C)Besides heat and light, the Sun is also the source of a continuous streaming

(E)The Sun is the source of not only heat and light but, as well, of a continuous streaming
Choice D, the best answer, has no modification errors and uses parallel phrases to complete the idiomatic construction not only ... but also. 《《《《《《Choices A, B, and C have modification errors: As well as heat and light and Besides heat and light cannot logically modify the Sun, the nearest noun, as grammar requires them to do. 》》》》》

按照OG的说法，这里的介词短语Besides heat and light 语法上就应该修饰the Sun

那么以此类推，第一题，A，B选项As part of their therapy就该修饰young polio victims
但是如果这样的话，E选项又为什么对呢？？？

晕啊~~~~~~彻底糊涂了！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！！

133 B,C不对，live with 要连在一起，中间插入短语割裂了意思。另外，During the 1950s,
as part of their therapy是修饰整个句子的，放在句子的中间割裂了句子的因果关系。

144 ，可以这样来理解, 无论是as well as 还是 besides，放在句首都是来修饰主语的，那么
他们应该和sun是同一个类别的，可是heat and light和sun显然不平行。

可能我没表达清楚，其实我想问的是，介词短语在句首，修饰的是主语名词，还是修饰整个句子？？还是都可以修饰？？

按照rabbitbug MM的说法，介词短语在句首修饰主语或者句子都行，要用逻辑来判断。

但是OG241题的解释上说：Choices A, B, and C have modification errors: As well as heat and light and Besides heat and light cannot logically modify the Sun, the nearest noun, as grammar requires them to do.（题目就是上面贴的第2题）
按照OG的说法：as grammar requires them to do.（语法上要求）介词短语Besides heat and light 是修饰the Sun的。就是说OG认为语法上介词短语只修饰主语

但是介词短语在句首作状语修饰整个句子的例子比比皆是：例如介词短语就可在句首作时间状语（During the 1950s）

所以产生了巨大的疑问，难道是因为besides是个特例：在句首必然修饰主语？？？

总结了一下，大家看看对不对？？

表示时间，地点，方式的介词短语在句首都应该修饰句子
表示比较的介词短语在句首应该修饰主语

我觉得这个句子改为

as part of their therapy修饰practice falling

我开始有点怀疑E选项中, as part of their therapy,是不是介词短语作状语修饰整个句子了

It reads like 'during the 1950s' is to modify 'practice falling', rather than 'were helped to'...

感谢SBBI兄指点，有点体会到了，关键在于歧义，昨天找到一句话：

   you are excepted to invest in new players during this season.

   再看（A）As part of their therapy, young polio victims learning to live with their disabilities were helped to practice falling during the 1950s

   两者的不同在于，第一句话不会引起歧义，第二句话引起歧义。
