标题: Unofficial offer from Duke-finance phd

Just got the email from the professor who interviewed me a week ago:

"This is let you know that I have recommended you for admission to the
Duke Finance Phd Program. You should hear the official word from the
Duke Graduate School next week with the details of the admission offer.
In the meanwhile let me know of your other offers and any questions that
you have about the Duke Finance program. You should feel great about
getting in, as the competition for the much sought after Duke-Finance
Phd was intense"

So excited! I will withdraw my application for Carlson soon(got an unofficial

offer from the department head a couple of days before).

Still waiting for some others. Bless everyone!

To answer the previous post.

I gave my application for Carlson directly to the department coordinator since I am at UMN right now.

So, technically, I am a tranferred student. They gave me the offer a couple of days after I gave him my package.

So my case is not typical for those of you who are applying for Carlson.

I heard they are going to send out more official offers around mid-March.

To answer 胜鼎，

I just asked the professor through email. He told me there would be no campus visit and all information about financial support will be in the letter, which will be sent out from graduate school next week. The deadline for us to make final decision will be mid-April, as usual.
