Just received an email from a prof. at UW Madison...said that she would like to talk to me over the phone before she made the final decisons (why "she" makes the decision but not the "ad committee"?...) anyway, have been fussy and lazy waiting for news recently...need to spirit up...good luck to myself~

hi, neo, Can you share your background? Although I also study in the US, I got nothing except rejections. Now it seems one rej letters from Wisconsin, BC and NW are one the way. So sad.

I mean, my rej letters are on the way. I have been extermely out of mind recently, thus messing up my midterm exams.

tzuchang, all we can do now is to hold tight and have faith in ourselves. You don't get emails from Wisconsin does not necessarily mean that you are out - I got the email at 4 pm, so maybe you will get it tomorrow, who knows?

As for my background, I did my undergrad in econ in China with decent GPA/ranking (but not those stellar GPAs like 3.8 or 3.9). Got an MBA and a master of finance in the US. Reference letters from US finance & econ professors. 750+ GMAT

I will definitely write something after I know where I will end up. But at this moment, let's just keep our faith! Good luck to all of us!

I got only 2 interviews...definitely does not meet the definition of "many"...

still silent from most of the schools...

本来想申UWM的HR，但是竞争太激烈，就放弃了。。。现在有点后悔。。。mm可能要去它家，这样的话，就两地了。。。
