标题: Good News from Owen
I just received a phone call from the adcom officer who interviewed me at Owen. She told me that I was accepted and offered 32,000 dollars scholarship and it's renewable the second year. My status won't officially updated until the end of the month. I am so happy that my first choice accepted me! I was still feeling bad because of the rejection from Emory. Good luck to you all!

this offer is a meant-to-be...and so is the emory rejection....

it means you are just not supposed to go to your back-up school

i guess you are married and have family..because that would convince the adcom that you are not up for relocation, hence naturally vandy first choice...is that right??

Your guess was very close, the truth is most people fall in love with Nashville after they stay here for a while, as a matter of fact, there are more and more people relocating to Nashville from Atlanta and other major cities. Even with the subprime crisis and economy slowing down, nashville's growth and real estate market continue to stay strong.

Fear not, Owen't interview is very standard, almost all the Owen applicants on BW commented that Owen's adcom is among the friendliest. As for the questions, I can't remember the exact questions, I am trying to give you an idea since it has been a while since I was interviewed.

talk about your Resume , why did you choose these jobs and why did you change? Why MBA, Why Vanderbilt, Why now?

What other schools did you apply to? What are important to you when you choose among different schools? Do you have any question for me?

I think Vandy's interview is by invitation only,after you complete your application. So if you got invited, means you have a good chance, don't worry and get yourself well prepared. Good luck!

Vandy just had the 8th chancellor. Finally, they found one. I guess it is not an easy job. But I still miss Chancellor Gee. Hope you can update some great story about new Chancellor when you get to school.
