171. In 1527 King Henry VIII sought to have his marriage to Queen Catherine annulled so as to marry Anne
Boleyn.
(A) so as to marry
(B) and so could be married to
(C) to be married to
(D) so that he could marry（D)
(E) in order that he would
 

其中B的错误是Ungrammatical(be married to）和illogical:Henry could not marry simply on the basis  of seeking

an annulment.(这句话是什么意思呢）

如果选a，so as to 不能说明是谁要marry，是他还是queen。

如果选b，失去了目的性，so that指的是一种目的，在这句话里要表达的也是这个意思，而并不一定实现，而so he could是实现了，缺乏尝试和目的性，仅仅因为sought to……也不能成为他娶queen的充分条件。

这句话是说henry为了曲AB而想把queen给休了。
