真麻烦，不能copy/paste：

Data Sufficiency:

if 500 is the mutiple of 100 that is closest to x, 400 is the multiple of 100 closest to y, which of the multiple of 100 is closest to x+y?

(1) x<500;

(2) y<400;

Key: E

不明白，怎么做？

我做的是： 400<x<600, 300<y<500 --> 700<x+y<1100

而 (1)+(2) ---> 700<x+y<900 不正好是800吗？为什么不是C?

首先读题得到的信息是：
450〈 X < 550
350〈 Y < 450

由条件1和2推出： 450〈 X < 500； 350〈 Y < 400

那么800〈 X+Y < 900，于是 X+Y 可以是大于850 或小于850，所以靠近的那个100的倍数可能是800 或 900，选E
