88.    Although many Whites, noting the presence of some Blacks in the middle class, think that the time for enforcing civil rights measures is past, Blacks generally are aware that the figures for average income and unemployment show as wide of a radical discrepancy as ever.
(A) that the figures for average income and unemployment show as wide of
(B) that average-income and unemployment figures show as wide
(C) that the average-income and unemployment figures are showing as wide of

   答案是B，这个题目以前讨论过，但是还有几个不懂的

   1。average income 是不是已经有数字的含义了，所以不需要figures？？

   2。as wide of a radical discrepancy as ever，这里的wide of a radical discrepancy 是不是可以当作一个名词，但是as...as中间不能单独加名词，所以错？？
   或者我理解的不对，应该是其他的错误？？

A我认为错在平行结构有歧义，到底是figures和unempolyment平行还是average income和unemployment平行比较模糊，而且as...as结构中，中间成分一般应该是形容词或副词，好像没有用名词的，这里显然应该用副词。

答案C中that average-income and unemployment figures 的表达是不是表明average-income已经有数字的概念了，所以不需要average-income figures这样表达？？

E. of figures for average income and unemployment showing as wide

as…as可能有2种词序：Tom is as efficient a worker as Jack.= Tom is a worker as efficient as Jack. 本题可以抽象成：

figures show as wide a radical discrepancy as ever. = figures show a radical discrepancy as wide as ever.

如果用of,就变成了figures show of a radical… 或figures show a … as of wide of as ever.

所以一个of就淘汰了A,C,D.

E用of加动名词，看起来很不舒服，figures和showing离得太远，好像是unemployment show sth.

B的figures可以同时被income and unemployment修饰。
