正确答案是C，我想问一下D选项的doubling和bringing之间的and，我觉得bringing应该修饰整句话，他们不是并列关系，谢谢大家。

D还有其他错误，for about four。。。修饰828000 aquare，放在主语和谓语之间，成了修饰主语了。

doubling和bringing都是作伴随状语的，获得那么多土地的同时，国家面积翻倍，领土到达太平洋。这两个是并列的。
