答案是E，不理解. since也可以用来表达因果关系吗

Because of the comma there, you have to pick a full sentence instead of prepositional phrase. Either "because" or "since" is fine.

有个小问题
E选项里面的
ancient, gold-bearing riverbeds
逗号应该是and吧，连接两个形容词

我觉得答案是D。。。。。考虑reach的用法，reach of的意思在句子里行不通
