I don't the answer since it came from JJ. I tried to find it in Prep and GWD.

I will choose B.

The whole phrase after comma functions as modifier of the subject "sound". "Sound' cannot perform the action of preventing. So we can say bye-bye to answer choice C, D, and E. "acoustic energy" was dissipated by the special feature of the sea. So A is out.

just googled it. and the answer is A

B有问题 prevented from having it 谁是having动作的发出者? 如三楼MM所说 sound can't preventing itself 那么也应该 sound can't having it's energy dissipated

C我认为dissipating不对应该改为dissipated 因为后面是by

D的 being dissipated 错得很明显

E同C
