请问B里的running是做伴随状语吗？？

E里的错误是什么？？

还有有seldom or这个词组吗？？我怎么觉得根据句子意思这里应该用and呀，分明是wide 和deep吗？？？

B running是伴随状语

E 状语离它的逻辑主语太远了而且，connecting和running的关系不清楚

用or 表示两项标准中的一个都很难达到，更别说两个一起达到了（潜台词啊）

可是如果按你的解释，这句话怎么翻译呀，我总觉得用and符合逻辑，还有seldom or是一个固定的词组?

举个例子哈

要想进NBA，要么长得和姚明一样高（deep)，要么长得和奥尼尔一样壮（wide)（注意两个分句的关系是or）；然而，很少人(seldom)能像姚明一样高，或者(or)像奥尼尔一样壮.

这句话用and也可以啊，不过高似姚明而且(and)壮似奥尼尔的人还没出生呢。

不知道这个比寓是否恰当

所以seldom or/seldom and都可以

D的which明显使用不正确的，意思上应该指代The Erie Canal，但是这里有指代New Yourk的嫌疑~

A 为什么不对呀？我找出了一个错误：按照语义and连接应该改成or，but it ran 这个it 是指代the erie canal 没错吧？

新看法： A 逗号后的连词：but 连接两个完整的句子。前面SELDOM ....不完整，所以错！
C it was seldom 强调句结构不完整没有THAT出现。seldom or
D which 指代最近的NEW YORK 错！
E 本句少谓语，结构不完整。错！

B胜出！

句首seldom more .....but running.....做主语 the Erie Canal 的修饰。

从结构上来说，S的修饰部分提前，然后是SVO是GMAC喜欢出的结构。
一眼就锁定在AB，比较下来，A的but并列的非常不舒服，而且有了两个主语it和canal，这两个句子没有连接词。
