ans：B

答案的确是B，这道题的比较对象是草地和鸟，可能你认为这不是同类。但是问题就在这里，实质上比较的是草地的消失和鸟的消失，但是like引导的是草地，消失的含义被隐藏掉了，尽管这样，你还是得把草地和鸟比较起来，不能把草地和鸟的消失比较。

不客气。我最近刚好在整理GWD的语法，徒手之劳。

这题都是名词的比较。建议你看一下白勇语法平行那部分，平行和比较不光只限于一摸一样的词的比较。这道题比较少见，我也只见过这么一次。

我很愿意多交流，可惜我14号回北京之前，只能3天上一次网，一次2小时，呵呵，你很难碰到我的。

如果你做完了gwd22了，总结的时候，sc每道题的每个选项都看，挑出错误的地方，挑不出来就cd上查一下，或者查langman字典，这方法很有用，我就这么学的。

具体名词和动作性名词不能平行么，D的平行不对
还有我觉得in the northeastern United States位子也不好，虽然前面有个in the Argentine Pampas不影响它向后修饰的理解（这个题这里应该没错的），但如果没有in the Argentine Pampas的话，in the northeastern United States可以向前修饰也可以向后修饰，记得做到过这种题，改法就是B 那样，改变状语的位置。

句子的本意是将grassy fields and old pastures和the sandpiper进行比较，like后面比较的主体是the grassy fields and old pastures,that后的从句是对这两个物体的修饰，可以忽略。
A选项，comma后的主语是the sandpipers vanishing，逻辑错误，the sandpipers vanishing（事件）不能和 grassy fields and old pasture（事物）进行比较
B选项，the bird itself指the sandpiper，对
C选项， comma 后面的主语是that the birds themselves are vanishing in the northestern United States，不能和grassy fiels and pastures进行比较
DE选项，不仅在like和主句之间加了插入语让句子显得awkward,并且the sandpipers' vanishing和grassy fields and pastures之间也不构成比较关系，所以也错了
这样的like...comma...类型的句子其实在理解句意之后第一步就是按照比较的逻辑进行排除，会比较快，like后面的比较对象和comma后面的比较对象必须逻辑上说得同，否则就错了
