Q30:

Printwell’s Ink Jet Division manufactures ink-jet printers and the ink cartridges they use. Sales of its ink-jet printers have increased. Monthly revenues from those sales, however, have not increased, because competition has forced Printwell to cut the prices of its printers. Unfortunately, Printwell has been unable to bring down the cost of manufacturing a printer. Thus, despite the increase in printer sales, the Ink Jet Division must be providing the company with much smaller than it used to.

Which of the following, if true, most seriously weakens the argument?

Ink-jet printers in regular use frequently need new ink cartridges, and Printwell’s printers only accept Printwell’s ink cartridges.

我在forum里找了找好似没有这一题,我参考的答案是A,我做的是B,因为题中说要降价,而生产成本没法降低,b里说价格里主要的是零售商造成的成本，应该可以达到weaken的效果，但为什么选a呢？请指点

A says that even though the sales of printer are not making much money, the sales of cartridges are making money.

为什么偶觉得是b啊，因为retailers’ costs account for a sizable proportion of the printers’ ultimate retail price，weaken了Printwell has been unable to bring down the cost of manufacturing a printer。

这题好像在FEIFEI中有一道类似思路的

B是无关选项

A选项是他因削弱结论, 虽然PRINTER不行, 但是这个部门的其他东西可能可以弥补这个GAP

我也选的B，看了答案和讨论再读了一遍B
感觉B是说，P公司通过零售商销售产品，而这项成本占了P产品价格很大的一部分。

可以看成是无关选项，即使不是也绝没有削弱的效果。

首先，他只是陈述了一个事实，也没说P公司可以通过转变销售模式来降低成本（我就是过度推理了)
其次文中说P没有办法降低其产品的成本。GMAT逻辑题假设文中事实皆为真，那么即使有说能通过改变销售方式来降低成本也是在抬杠。不能削弱原文。

现在觉得还是A最合适。

请大家指正：）
