C的缺點是redundancy,你不能講說一個"可能"的結果"也許"包含xxx.語意不通

melting在此解視為動名詞,所以可以跟a rise in sea level對稱

原题题意是include melting of the polar ice caps ,并不是include ice caps

我觉得c改变了原题的意思

句首的possible和may语意重复，排除A,B,C;
D和E比较，D中的and连接的两部分有歧义include melting the polar ice caps and sea levels that 或者and sea levels that are rising 这两种理解都可以
E中 melting(动名词)和 a rise 动作性名词对称，相对D来讲结构平行对称
所以选E

C的错误不在于重复或是使用may或possible，而是c后面的排列方式突出的不是consequences，而是这caps和sea level这两个物体本身。与前句想突出的思想不符。
