标题: 申请MARKETING PHD,背景并请教定位?

背景：
本科读国际经济与贸易 B.A in economics 国内排名15左右学校平均分 83
研究生读管理的营销专业 M.A in Business administration 国内排名3-5学校平均分87
GMAT 750+5.5 TOFEL 113（口语24）

研究生期间到英国伦敦非名校交流一学期

PAPER：
国际IEEE会议收录英文文章一篇第2作者 EI检索

国内全国营销和管理年会各文章一篇，一个第一作者，一个第二作者
国内一般期刊2篇文,参与自然基金科研项目3个

co-authored 英文书章节2本参与编译和编著教材5本

推荐信：国内导师一封(是某英文期刊CO-EDITOR),

教研究方法老师一封,

香港有名教授一封(虽然只听过讲座,写信联系)

英国学校交CROSS-CULTURE非有名老师一封

准备申请美国和香港 MARKETING 的consumer behavior/service marketing 方向
但目前的研究都是quantitive, 没作过实验虽然非常向往,可以根据我这样的背景申请么？

目前准备申请的学校除了排名主要是我目前做研究参考文献作者的主要在的学校。不知道大家看我背景大概能

申请什么位置排名的学校,这个LIST合理否? 希望在BOSTON地区

Maryland
North Carolina
Indiana University Kelley
University of Connecticut
University of Miami

Georgia State University
Missssippi

Boston University
University of Massachusetts Amherst
Bentley College

还有香港的几所如中文，港大，城大，科大。

另外已经在美国读书的大牛哪位可以好心告诉我全奖里的医疗保险是否包括先天性疾病开刀的保险？住院开刀
的话是否必须在学校指定医院或者本地医院？谢谢了！

by the way, the conference paper is an emprical research in EI search and I am the second author ,my main job

is the literature review part. Do I survive a chance for top 30's school?

I would say your chance is kind of slim at
Maryland

Emory Goizueta
Chicago GSB
Michigan–Ann Arbor (Ross).

Target more universities from 50-100

If you are studying in Hong Kong or she/he is your current advisor, I would say yes. Otherwise, people won't buy a lot.

Chicago is not very possible I guess, unless you know Chris in person. UMich ,North Carolina and OSU are also very competitive.

You had better not worry about the job market. A good professor/a research performance is greatly connected with your job.

Increase the number of schools to at least 20.

Don't applied to Missisppi, Bentley, or UMass. You don't want a PhD form these schools. Don't forget "brand equity". You will be their product and you don't want those brands.

Add UC-Irvine, U. of Georgia, Texas A&M, U. of Texas-Dallas, Virginia Tech, Iowa.
