A 是省略 as present as the weathe r(was) , and ( was) as much discussed (as the weather was)

2, E 错在 只有 discussed 部分的比较，而无 形容词 present 的 比较 另 as the weather 后的 was 应该省略而没省略， ETS 认为必错 （因为中间没有可引起误解的其他可能比较对象）

NO 1, u have 2 subjects, UNLIKE can be used for 2 parallel things. but for 2 unrelated ones, u need to use UNLESS
