by the way, it is really hard for people who live in US/Canada to understand why you don't want a JD, which holds much more promising future than an MBA (at the same level)

actually, I am the regular vistors at totoolaw too and I posted many info there.
有美国律证的人也是满街都是, that is true, but a good school JD is every special.
you have worked in law firm, right? you know that lawyers have high egos. top law firms only hire most people from top law schools. and they are gobally paid.
that post is not blend or informationless, because it asked two simple but important questions. Why you want a MBA which has lower significance comparing to JD?
even you are interested in investment bank and stock exchange, do you know that it is much easier to make it through law schools than B schools? (and the job title is the same or usually higher, surprisingly it does not have to do with law)
I think you need to do more research on the topic, that is another point in the past post. since you mentioned that you did some IPO work related to foreign market, maybe you know somebody from major US law firms, ask them before making your own judgement.
of course, just as you said. if you are determined for MBA, with a thorogh explaination. I believe you have a good chance to get in top MBA as well.
