这道题目的答案是A，可是我觉得A选项的介词in后面接了一个完整的句子，但是我学过得知识点说介词后面不能加句子的，为什么啊？谢谢大家。

how the two ears hear a given sound 这是个名词性从句，不是句子。就像what引导的从句一样，整个作名词。
这个结构等同于 (in) the way that the two ears hear a given sound.

例如， I don't care what you want.

How you do it is not a question.
