这个本身就暗示了他们应该是同一个年龄段比较，比如大家都是20岁的时候，上一代人20岁的时候当然应该是过去时。 不知道我这么说对不对

这题是LZM的137页8-14。A1 is to A2 what A3 is to A4是what从句的一个特殊例子。what作表语，what A3 is to A4还原是 A3 is what to A4。看来只能硬背了。

做的很晕，但是估计完全不知道那个what的固定用法，但是好像只有C是用了过去时，所以只有从时态的对错上去判断了

再问D：这道题我选了D。我在做题时的理解是：are to the narcissistic 1980’s 也是一个过去的时间（当然除非这道题是80年代出的考题），而用了现在时态；那么earlier time也应该是用现在时态。这样理解是否正确？NN点拨一下？

顶楼上，同样的问题，1980也是个过去时间，而用现在时，是不是能推出文章的陈述一个事实之类的东西，那么D用同样的时态是不是也能理解...选的时候真挺难抉择的
