capability to do sth是可以的，我查的牛津字典。不知道在下是从何而来这个解释，还是有什么GMAT的倾向性我不知道？

due to 一般不放句首，而且表示负面的因素。这个算是前人总结的经验吧，反正还没看到反例，先记着用

看到because和due to表示因为的意思时，直接忽略due to。because更直白

due to=caused by，如果用caused by 替换仍然能够说得通，就可以用due to
