But when you are in pain, you want relief right away. Danaxil is for you-no headache pill stops pain more quickly. Evelyn and Jane are each suffering from a headache. Suppose Evelyn takes Danaxil and Jane takes its leading competitor. Which one of the following can be properly concluded from the claims in the advertisement? (A) Evelyn’s headache pain will be relieved, but Jane’s will not. (B) Evelyn’s headache pain will be relieved more quickly than Jane’s. (C) Evelyn’s headache will be relieved at least as quickly as Jane’s. (D) Jane’s headache pain will be relieved at the same time as is Evelyn’s. (E) Jane will be taking Danaxil for relief from headache pain. 根据题意应该是more quickly,但是答案缺选了C而不是B? 作者: cranberry 时间: 2003-12-2 20:16

hi there, sucks, i was trapped as well by ets cheaters on this one as i really wondered how come it's so easy. anyway, the advertisement says, "no other pills can stop pain more quickly" meaning they can work more slowly or at most as quickly as danaxil. so choice c is right. it's a good question though作者: mariezhu 时间: 2003-12-3 13:16 标题: Lsat-2-4-23 no headache pill stops pain more quickly. =Danaxil works as quickly as or more quickly than other pills作者: Bensontuo 时间: 2019-7-27 16:13

Spot the question type - Must be true.
Core of the argument
Headache pills ---> No Headache
People in pain ---> People want to relief right away
D ---> No other headache pills
Other headache pills ---> No D
Other headache pills ---> no more quickly than D
No more quickly must be either as quickly or slowly.
Both E and J in pain of headache ---> Both of E and J want to relief pain right away
E ---> D and J ---> No D
So stopping pain for E must not be slower than stopping pain for J
A. Wrong ! against first premise
B. Could be true, but not necessary to be true,
C. Must be true. - At least quickly means it could be the same speed " and " higher speed "
D. Could be true, but not necessary to be true
E. ... No really matching our formal logic chains above.
