231. Ms. Chambers is among the forecasters who predict that the rate of addition to arable lands will drop while those of loss rise.

(A) those of loss rise

(B) it rises for loss

(C) those of losses rise

(D) the rate of loss rises

(E) there are rises for the rate of loss

查了一下以前的讨论还是不明白这里的while不是连接两个平行结构的连词吗？为什么要主将从现呢？谢谢大家。

没看懂你说的什么意思
如果说的是主语的话，因为前一个rate和后一个rate of loss是不一样的，所以后面要写清楚

我的意思是说：为什么主句用的是will的一般将来时，从句却用的是一般现在时呢？我觉得应该是rise，这样的话，就相当于省了will，怎么理解啊？谢谢。

逻辑意思要理解：

当现在loss rises时，却预测将来addition will rise.

对称结构未必要时态一致巴。
