B 还是不明白national average怎么表意不清了?

我想这里应该是Americans of Middle Eastern和average American比较，所以AC选项中的national average表意不清了，没有说清楚是什么在和前面的Americans比较。

比较应该一致~

前面是复数后面用was...就不一致了而B就消除了不一致

这里的不要was是不是因为是主语比较，没有歧义一定要省略？

英语中有些名词的复数形式是不规则的,需要一一记忆，常见的有，
man -men, woman — women, foot — feet, tooth — teeth, mouse — mice,sheep -sheep, dear — dear, fish – fish child-children.people—people
Chinese-Chinese. Japanese-Japanese.注意：其余国家的人的复数都是+S
EG: Germans .Canadians

了显示这是一个可以发出动作的名词，因而确定是主语，进而确定是主语对比）

就142 题来说, 在不看national average错不错的情况下,

该题是主语比较, 应该补出are哦, 哪位NN 能解释一下为什么A 的are 又可以省了呢?

如果B选项改为(B) as was the average American to be self-employed正确么？

(were)可以省略在于可以明显看出是S.和S.比 Americans 和 the average American

通常保留动词或助动词在于如果动词或助动词省略会误认为是S.和 O.比

这道题还是不太明白如果说不省略系动词be的话应该说

还是

as were the average American to be self-employed

??

average american 应该算是复数还是单数？如果算单数那么was不能省略，对么？？

因为national average是全国平均水平的意思

average american是普通美国居民的意思

这题是拿中东美国居民和普通居民比而不是在和水平比

同意大家说的这里省略was 不会引起歧
是主语（Americans）和average American比较

我的问题是，前面是were 后面是WAS 形式不一样这样也可以省略么？
