所以从instrument后必然有一个动词是使用过去式的

我觉得这位朋友理解错了句子，and 所连接的应该是approached 和 in effect， recomposed

所以ranged的出现不应该是其被选的理由

请问牛牛们，CDE我不知道怎么区分。。。恳请大家指导。。。

从approach to doing的结构（做某事的方法）和flatten（变平）应该使用flattening分词，这两点就可以排除A、C和E，剩下B，D两个选项，只要从句子的原意“像音乐家使用乐器那样使用自己的嗓音”来判断，就能去掉B，B的表达方法在句法上错了，乱七八糟，不知所云。

既然是GWD的题（GWD的题目最好办了），咱们就用老管的解题思路走，更本不用去理解意思。你们说的那些in that 和 because 啥的用法区别，那是属于实在没办法判断了才用的。你想一想，是句子完整性重要、并列重要还是词意差别重要啊。（别拍砖，你自己去想一想，别太拘泥于这些词意的差别，如果真的考到这一步，那你算是高手了）

此题没有那么复杂，用GWD的话，两句解决：（1）逻辑主语不配，把AB排除；（2）CDE答案，你就先看like，用GWD的话就是like是啥东西啊？那是比较，也就是并列。你去分析一下前后结构和意思啊，CE当然错了咯。（虽然说like后面不能跟句子，但是你用比较也是能区分出来的，比较结构能连接短语和句子吗？）所以没办，只能选D了。这种题，在老管看来那是最简单的题，以后机考不会考的（呵呵，老管有点牛）

以上分析不是我个人的，完全可以代表GWD的思路，呵呵，你去体会一下。

做GWD的题，千万别太拘泥于小细节处。
