从approach to doing的结构(做某事的方法)和flatten(变平)应该使用flattening分词,这两点就可以排除A、C和E,剩下B,D两个选项,只要从句子的原意“像音乐家使用乐器那样使用自己的嗓音”来判断,就能去掉B,B的表达方法在句法上错了,乱七八糟,不知所云。
弱弱地问一下,approach to doing 为什么不对啊? 为什么flatten要改成flattening?

既然是GWD的题(GWD的题目最好办了),咱们就用老管的解题思路走,更本不用去理解意思。你们说的那些in that 和 because 啥的用法区别,那是属于实在没办法判断了才用的。你想一想,是句子完整性重要、并列重要还是词意差别重要啊。(别拍砖,你自己去想一想,别太拘泥于这些词意的差别,如果真的考到这一步,那你算是高手了)
此题没有那么复杂,用GWD的话,两句解决:(1)逻辑主语不配,把AB排除;(2)CDE答案,你就先看like,用GWD的话就是like是啥东西啊?那是比较,也就是并列。你去分析一下前后结构和意思啊,CE当然错了咯。(虽然说like后面不能跟句子,但是你用比较也是能区分出来的,比较结构能连接短语和句子吗?)所以没办,只能选D了。这种题,在老管看来那是最简单的题,以后机考不会考的(呵呵,老管有点牛)
以上分析不是我个人的,完全可以代表GWD的思路,呵呵,你去体会一下。
做GWD的题,千万别太拘泥于小细节处。
